ADA and Back

Wow! Just got back from another trek to the ADA. I would love to say that there was something unique and different about the experience, but there wasn’t. There was emphasis on new things, but very few.

I guess that I shouldn’t really be complaining; the weather was beautiful. NO HUMIDITY and sunny skies every day. Traffic seemed to be slower than the last great ADA show I attended (San Francisco), but I haven’t gotten ahold of attendance numbers yet.

What was new? I thoroughly enjoyed the “Green Lounge”, which was a large booth for Eco Dentistry (click here for photos). The booth came about when several dental companies who have “green” products came together. It was nice to see a truly “organic” booth, and competing companies playing nice with each other.

I also took note of just how popular social media are in the dental community. Everyone was “Tweeting,” “Facebooking” and “LinkingIn”, if you want a rundown from my colleagues, please check out the Lanmark Group Facebook page, some fun pictures, indeed!

Put another notch on the lipstick case, one more ADA Annual Session in the can. Anyone else feeling the way I am?

  1. I enjoyed visiting the Green Lounge too. I never could catch up with you after the press conference there. Although all of the green companies involved with EDA have made a tremendous investment into the concept, it struck me that perhaps no one has committed more to it than DentalEZ. One thing you often hear about from the manufacturing side is the challenge to change a manufacturing process to become more environmentally friendly, hence the reason why the switch to green is slow. Were there any challenges for DentalEZ in reducing its carbon footprint?

  2. Mark:

Thanks so much for your support. I have asked executive personnel at DentalEZ to respond to your Question.

Will catch up with you soon buddy…thanks again!
